Run a free automatic roof report from the MEASUREMENTS tab and watch it complete live — no ladder, no tape measure.
Measuring a roof used to mean climbing it or paying a third party for every address. The MEASUREMENTS tab on each customer is a roof measurement hub that gives you four ways to get numbers — and the automatic pipeline is the one to reach for first, because it is free and runs on its own.
§Run an automatic measurement
- 01Open the customer and go to the
MEASUREMENTStab. - 02Tap
+ NEW MEASUREMENTto start the automatic roof-report pipeline. - 03Watch the hub — it updates in real time, so the measurement’s progress and results appear without refreshing.
- 04Tap the finished row to open the full measurement report detail.
There is no charge for automatic measurements, so run one early — at lead intake or before the first site visit — and you walk in already knowing the roof.
§Reading the results
Every measurement on the customer lives as a row in the hub, and each row opens a measurement report detail. Because measurements stay attached to the customer, anyone on the team can pull the numbers later without re-running anything.
§Four ways to measure
The automatic pipeline is one of four paths on the same tab:
| Method | Button | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Automatic roof report | + NEW MEASUREMENT | Free |
| DIY roof tracer | TRACE | Free |
| Import HOVER / EagleView / ESX | ⇪ IMPORT | Free |
| Certified measurement (~24h delivery) | CERTIFY $10 | $10 |
They complement each other: start automatic, trace by hand when you want direct control, import when a report already exists, and order certified when the job calls for it.
MEASUREMENT DEFAULTS in company settings — a default roof pitch (from 4/12 to 10/12) and a default waste factor percentage.§Related
