Give each rep their own commission plan — basis and rate, flat or tiered — with a live preview calculator.
Commission plans decide how each person on your team earns. Every user can carry their own plan, or fall back to the company default — and because plans are effective-dated, you can change terms going forward without rewriting anyone’s history.
§The roster
The screen lists your team as a roster. Each person carries a current-plan chip showing their basis and rate — or COMPANY DEFAULT if they have no personal plan and inherit the default rate from Commission settings.
§Build a plan
- 01Open the person’s row in the roster.
- 02In the plan editor, choose the basis and set the rate — flat or tiered.
- 03Check the live preview calculator: it shows what the plan pays on sample numbers, so you catch a bad rate before it applies to a real job.
- 04Save. The plan takes effect from its effective date forward.
Plans are effective-dated with history preserved. When you change someone’s plan, commissions already computed under the old terms stay exactly as they were — only new work picks up the new terms. That makes mid-year plan changes safe.
§Where the numbers come from
A plan sets the rate; the base it multiplies against is company-wide. The commission basis and overhead treatment live in FINANCIAL → Financial settings, a card-per-concern editor covering alerts, approvals, commission basis, overhead, and tax. Every computed commission then shows its full breakdown — contract → expenses → overhead → gross → net → rate → amount — in the approval queue.
FINANCIAL → Commission settings — see "Commission settings" in this category.§Related
