What each role is for and exactly which tabs it gets, from admins down to subcontractors.
A role in Revolve Core decides two things: which tabs a person sees, and which admin chrome they get. The point is focus — an accountant opens the app into money and approvals, a door knocker opens it into a map, and nobody wades through screens they never use.
§Role by role
| Role | Phone tabs | Built for |
|---|---|---|
| Admin / owner | CUSTOMERS · JOBS · SUBS · MONEY · ASSISTANT | Running the company — full tab set plus the Admin Console and MARKETING on the web |
| Field rep | CUSTOMERS · JOBS · SUBS · MONEY · ASSISTANT | Day-to-day production work — same tabs as an admin, without the admin chrome |
| Office staff | CUSTOMERS · JOBS · SUBS · MONEY · ASSISTANT | Back-office coordination |
| Accountant | CUSTOMERS · MONEY · REPORTS · APPROVALS · ASSISTANT | Books, reporting, and sign-offs |
| Door knocker | KNOCKER · CUSTOMERS · STATS · LEADS · ASSISTANT | Canvassing — map first, stats and leads beside it |
| Salesperson | CUSTOMERS · CALENDAR · LEADS · COMMISSIONS · ASSISTANT | Selling — appointments, leads, and personal earnings |
Subcontractors are different in kind: they never see your app at all. A sub gets their own navigator — Home / Jobs / Messages / Payments / Docs — scoped to the work you assign them, with your customer pricing hidden. See "What your sub sees" in the PORTALS + SUBS category.
§Admins vs field reps
Admins and field reps share the same tab set. The difference is chrome: the masthead ⚙ gear and the MORE sheet's Admin Console row are admin-only, and the web-only MARKETING tab is hidden from field reps — it is gated to owners, admins, operators, managers, and office staff.
§Roles you can invite
The invite flow offers field rep, manager, admin, dispatcher, and office staff. Beyond the built-ins, companies can create custom roles with their own permission sets — see "Roles and permissions editor" in this category.
My Commissions (in the MORE sheet, and the COMMISSIONS tab for salespeople) appears only when the user actually has commission data. A rep with no commission entries will not see it, and that is expected.§Related
