JOB STAGE TEMPLATES

Every job in Revolve Core moves through a pipeline of stages — the ordered steps a project walks from first contact to closeout. Job stage templates let you define that pipeline once per trade, so a roofing job, a siding job, and a remodel can each follow a sequence that matches how that kind of work actually flows.

Templates are company-wide and managed by admins. When a job is created, its stages are seeded from the template for its trade; from there your team advances the job stage by stage as work progresses.

§How templates are organized

The editor shows one card per trade, and each card lists that trade's stages as ordered chips. The trades themselves come from your COMPANY TRADES list, managed under CUSTOMIZATION → Trades in the Admin Console — the same list that feeds subcontractor invites and work orders. Add a trade there and it becomes available for its own stage template.

§Edit a trade's stages

1. 01Open the Admin Console and go to CUSTOMIZATION → Job stages.
2. 02Find the card for the trade you want to change.
3. 03Open the editing modal to rename, add, or remove stages.
4. 04Reorder the stages until the sequence matches how that trade really runs.
5. 05Save — new jobs for that trade pick up the updated pipeline.

§Factory templates and reset

Revolve Core ships factory templates so each trade starts with a sensible stock pipeline instead of a blank list. If a template drifts too far from what works, use reset-to-factory to restore the stock stages for that trade and start over.

§Where your templates show up

• ◆The stage dots in the Active Job widget on a customer's OVERVIEW tab.
• ◆The StageJourney tracker at the top of the TIMELINE tab, with progress percent and days in stage.
• ◆The per-customer ✎ STAGES editor, which starts from the trade template and lets one customer diverge from it.
• ◆Stage triggers, which can fire automation when a job moves between the stages you define here.
