Where claim details live on a customer and how to keep the carrier paperwork organized — for anyone working insurance jobs.
On an insurance job, the claim is the backbone of the file: the carrier, the claim details, and the paperwork that supports them decide when and how you get paid. Revolve Core keeps all of it on the customer record, so the claim travels with the job instead of living in a separate spreadsheet.
§The Insurance Claim widget
Claim tracking is a widget on the customer's OVERVIEW tab, not a separate tab. The Insurance Claim widget is part of the default Overview layout and holds the carrier and claim fields for the job. Because it sits on Overview, the state of the claim is the first thing anyone on your team sees when they open the customer.
The customer header helps too: the LOSS stat tile sits alongside TYPE, STATUS, SOURCE, and SINCE above the tab strip, so the loss date stays visible from any tab.
§Add the widget if it is missing
The Overview dashboard is fully editable, so if the widget has been removed from your layout you can bring it back.
- 01Open the customer and stay on the
OVERVIEWtab. - 02Select
✎ EDIT LAYOUTto enter edit mode. - 03Open the widget picker and add
Insurance Claim. - 04Drag and resize it where you want it, then leave edit mode.
§Keep the claim paperwork together
The claim record is only half the story — adjusters expect documentation. Store everything on the customer's DOCUMENTS tab, where the PACKET checklist tracks the categories an insurance file needs: Contracts, Insurance Scope, Insurance Docs, Estimate, and Permits, each marked ✓ or ✗ so gaps are obvious at a glance.
