THE TEAM INTERNAL THREAD

Keep private team discussion on the customer with TEAM · INTERNAL, and understand how it shares a home with NOTES.

Every customer has a private team conversation alongside the customer-facing SMS thread. TEAM · INTERNAL keeps the back-and-forth about a job — access notes, pricing questions, who is handling what — attached to the customer instead of scattered across personal texts.

WHERE: CUSTOMERS → open a customer → MESSAGES tab → TEAM · INTERNAL

Unlike the SMS thread, TEAM · INTERNAL is always available — it does not require the Phone add-on.

§One store, two views

TEAM · INTERNAL and the customer's NOTES tab share the same underlying store, so a post made in one appears in the other. MESSAGES gives you the chat-style framing; NOTES layers note tooling on top of the same content:

  • @mention teammates, with autocomplete against your company roster.
  • Attach files to a note.
  • Dictate with the voice-to-text mic — the transcript is editable before you post.
  • Pin important notes so they sort to the top, or assign a note to a specific job.

§Who can see it

The internal thread never reaches your customer — texting them happens in the SMS thread, and portal messaging is a separate channel. Notes stay internal too, unless someone flips the "visible to subs" toggle on a note, which flags it with a SUBS SEE chip.

HEADS UP
A note carrying the SUBS SEE chip is visible to subcontractors on the job. Notes are internal by default, but because messages and notes cross-appear, glance for the chip before discussing pricing or personnel.
