How AI credits work, what happens when you run low, where to see spend, and the admin option to bring your own AI key.
Everything Rev does — chat, drafts, photo analysis, supplements — draws on your company's AI credits. Credits keep AI costs visible and bounded: you can see what you are spending, top up when you need to, and cap it.
§The credit gate
The app warns before it stops you. Running low raises a yellow "Low on AI credits" banner in the ASSISTANT hub; an empty balance raises a red banner, and a modal explains the situation when you reach for an AI feature. What you can do from there depends on your role.
§Buying credits (owners and admins)
When the company pool is empty, owners and admins get BUY CREDITS, which opens the "Buy AI Credits" sheet:

Pick a pack and complete the card payment in the billing screen — no support ticket, no waiting. Only owners and admins can buy, so there are no surprise purchases from the field.
§Not an admin? Request more
If you hit your personal credit cap, you get REQUEST MORE instead of a purchase button. Pressing it notifies an admin that you are out of credits, so the person who can buy knows without you chasing them down.

The USAGE workspace in the ASSISTANT hub reports what your AI usage is costing. Check it whenever you want to know where the credits went — there is no separate bill to reconcile.
§Bring your own key (admins)
If your company would rather run Rev on its own AI account, admins can connect one under Masthead ⚙ gear → Admin Console → INTEGRATIONS → AI. Add your own AI provider key, choose the model, set a monthly spend cap, and send a test to confirm it works. The screen also shows month-to-date usage, and you can disconnect at any time.
