TASKS

§ CUSTOMERS + TRIAGE3 min READUPDATED 2026-08

Create per-customer to-dos with priorities and due dates, and assign them to teammates or subcontractors.

The TASKS tab keeps this customer’s to-do list where the customer lives, instead of in a separate app nobody checks. Anything with an owner and a deadline — order materials, call the adjuster, pull the permit — belongs here.

WHERE: CUSTOMERS → open a customer → TASKS tab

§Create a task

  1. 01Choose + NEW TASK.
  2. 02Give it a title and, if useful, a description.
  3. 03Pick a priority with the priority chips.
  4. 04Set a due date with the quick-picks — TODAY, TOMORROW, +1 WEEK — or pick a date manually.
  5. 05Assign it and save.

§Assigning: team vs subcontractor

The ASSIGN picker has two segments. TEAM assigns teammates and supports multiple assignees on one task; SUBCONTRACTOR assigns the task to a sub instead. Use the sub segment for work the crew outside your company owns, so it shows up on their side rather than cluttering your team’s plates.

§Working the list

Task rows toggle between open and completed with a tap — tap again to reopen one closed by mistake. Tasks can also be assigned to a specific job, which matters on multi-job customers: a punch-list item for the roof job should not float ambiguously over the siding job too.

NOTE
On your phone, the TASKS button in the action bar at the bottom of the customer list is a shortcut to your task work without opening a customer first.
