Read one chronological feed of everything on a customer, and advance job stages from the tracker above it.
The TIMELINE tab answers the question every callback starts with: "what has happened with this customer?" It combines a job-stage tracker on top with a single chronological feed of every event underneath, so you never reconstruct the story from six different tabs.
§The stage journey
The tracker at the top shows the job’s progress percentage and a dot diagram of its stages. Tap a dot to advance the job to that stage — the app asks you to confirm before anything moves. The ✎ STAGES button opens the stage editor: stages are seeded from your company’s trade template and can be renamed, reordered, or trimmed per customer. See "Customize and advance stages" in the Jobs + Stages category.
§The unified feed
Below the tracker, the feed aggregates photos, documents, contracts, estimates, invoices, payments, messages, field notes, customer notes, triage changes, work orders, change orders, and stage events into one stream, newest activity first. Bursts are grouped — a site visit that produced a dozen photos shows as one entry like ×12 photos instead of twelve rows.
§Filter chips
Chips across the top narrow the feed to one kind of event: ALL / PHOTOS / DOCS / CONTRACTS / ESTIMATES / INVOICES / PAYMENTS / MESSAGES / CALLS / ✦ AI NOTES / FIELD NOTES / NOTES / TRIAGE / STAGES / WORK ORDERS. Two chips are worth knowing early: TRIAGE shows every priority change, and STAGES shows every stage advance — together they are the audit trail of how the job moved.
§When to reach for it
- ◆Before a call — skim the last few entries so you open with what actually happened last.
- ◆During a dispute — filter to
PAYMENTSorCONTRACTSand read the dated record. - ◆On handoff — a new rep can read the whole relationship top to bottom without asking anyone.
✦ AI NOTES chip isolates AI-generated notes from human ones, which is handy when you want only what a person actually wrote.
