The PACKET checklist shows which of the five core job documents you have and which are still missing.
Most jobs need the same core paperwork, and the worst time to notice a piece is missing is when someone asks for it. The PACKET checklist on the DOCUMENTS tab tracks the five core document types for a customer and shows each one as present (✓) or missing (✗) — a complete-or-not answer at a glance.

§The five slots
| Slot | Status |
|---|---|
| Contracts | ✓ present or ✗ missing |
| Insurance Scope | ✓ present or ✗ missing |
| Insurance Docs | ✓ present or ✗ missing |
| Estimate | ✓ present or ✗ missing |
| Permits | ✓ present or ✗ missing |
§Filling the gaps
Each ✗ is a to-do, and each one is closable from inside the app:
- ◆Upload or scan what you already have —
+ UPLOAD, drag-and-drop on web, or📷 SCANfor paper. - ◆Missing an estimate? Create one from the
ESTIMATES/INVOICEStab with+ NEW ESTIMATEor◆ REX AI. - ◆Missing a contract? Start one from the
CONTRACTStab with+ NEW CONTRACTand send it for signature. - ◆Insurance scope and insurance documents usually arrive from the carrier — scan or upload them as soon as they do.
§When to check the packet
Make the checklist a habit at stage transitions — before production starts, and again before closeout. A packet that reads all ✓ means the job’s paper trail is complete; a ✗ caught early is a quick upload instead of a scramble.
◆ TIP
On insurance work, check
PACKET right after the adjuster meeting. That’s when the insurance scope and carrier documents should land — and when it’s cheapest to chase anything that didn’t.
