Why an instant roof measurement comes back failed, and the three ways to get a number today.

The free instant measurement needs a geocoded address and usable overhead imagery. When either is missing it fails fast rather than guessing. You still have three ways to a number on the same tab.

§Check the address first

  1. 01Open the customer record and confirm the address geocoded — the map pin should sit on the building, not the street centre or the town.
  2. 02Fix the address (unit numbers and rural routes confuse geocoding), save, and run + NEW MEASUREMENT again.

§If it fails again

  • ◆DIY tracer — trace the roof on the imagery yourself; free, a few minutes, full control over facets and pitch.
  • ◆⇪ IMPORT — bring in a HOVER, EagleView or ESX file you already have.
  • ◆Certified — order a certified report for $10; it is measured by a person and returns in about a day.
