The company-wide portal settings — welcome line, support contact, your FAQ, review link, hidden tabs — and how homeowners are emailed or texted when something new lands.
One settings screen shapes every customer's portal. Everything on it is optional; the defaults are your company name, phone and email.
WHERE: Admin Console → COMMUNICATION → CUSTOMER PORTAL
§The portal
- ◆
DISPLAY NAME— shown instead of the company name if you trade under another name. - ◆
WELCOME LINE— the sentence under "Hi <name>" on the landing view. - ◆
SUPPORT PHONE/SUPPORT EMAIL— what the portal header and the Help tab show; blank means the company phone and email. - ◆
REVIEW LINK— your Google or Yelp review URL; it appears on the completion card once the project is done.
§Hide tabs for every customer
Eight toggles, one per content tab. A hidden tab is gone for every homeowner; per-customer exceptions are set on the PORTAL tab of the customer record.
§Your FAQ
One line per question, in the form Question | Answer. They appear at the top of the portal's Help tab as "Questions <company> gets asked" — the driveway, the pets, arrival times, what happens in rain.
§Notify the homeowner
- ◆
EMAIL(on by default) — when someone on your team replies in the portal thread, or shares a document or photo, the homeowner gets one email within about five minutes with the portal link. Several shares in a row become one email. - ◆
TEXT MESSAGE(off by default) — the same, by SMS, when the phone add-on is live and the customer has not opted out. - ◆Uploads by the homeowner never trigger a notification to them. Money emails (invoices, reminders, receipts) are separate and always link to the portal.
◆ NOTE
Nothing is sent for a share that is later undone within a couple of minutes — the batch waits before it goes out.
